Here's your first look at 'The Mandalorian'

If you weren't at the Star Wars Celebration, then you wouldn't have seen this trailer. But now, Disney and Lucasfilm just released to the public the first trailer for Jon Favreau's Star Wars series: The Mandalorian. There aren't many words exchanged in the trailer, but we see a lot of fighting spaceships, battling droids, and grittier action than we usually see in a traditional Star Wars film. The feel of the trailer is in line with Favreau's goal to bring a "darker, freakier side of Star Wars" to the public.

Boba Fett and his father, Jango, inspire this series. Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) steps in as the new Mandalorian. The story helps fill in the gap between Return of the Jedi and right after the fall of the Empire and the rise of the First Order. It answers questions of what happened on Tatooine during the time between the trilogies. The Mandalorian is going to be the first Star Wars live-action TV series, and one of the main pulls to get people to subscribe to Disney+.

Google reportedly certifies OnePlus TV as an Android TV

OnePlus TV might be using Google's Android TV platform and Google Play, after all. @AndroidTV_Rumors spotted certification for a device codenamed Dosa from OnePlus, which is targeted at India. OnePlus TV is reportedly being launched first in that country on September 26th, so the timing of the certification makes sense.

Rumour has it that the OnePlus TV was supposed to use a "unique" version of Android. But Google wouldn't certify custom versions of Android to use the Play Store. So, this might mean instead of creating that custom platform, OnePlus opted to use Google's. Having access to Android TV's features and the Play Store's many apps will make OnePlus' entry into the TV market more compelling.

Google Assistant will read a special 'Harry Potter' chapter to you for 'Back to Hogwarts'

Just in time for "Back to Hogwarts" day, Pottermore Publishing partners with Google to have its virtual assistant read a chapter of Harry Potter to you. Say, "Hey Google, tell me a Harry Potter story" to have Google Assistant read chapter six of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The chapter is significant because it's the first time Harry boards the Hogwarts Express after getting invited to study at the famous wizarding school. In this chapter, we meet Ron, Hermione, Draco, and Neville for the first time. Basically, "it's the start of relationships that form the backbone of the Harry Potter stories."

To access the chapter, make sure you have the Google Play Books app on your Android or iOS phone. Android users already have Google Assistant. Now, if you use an iPhone, you will need to download the Google Assistant app.
