iOS 5.0.1 starts rolling out 

Just in time to fix those bugs affecting battery life reported by some users as well as resolving issues with documents in the cloud, iOS 5.0.1 is now available for download on iPhone and iPod Touches as well as iPads. Simply plug in your devices and go to General>Software Update. The update takes around 10 minutes over WiFi.

Adobe drops Flash support on Mobile Devices

Adobe Flash was the one feature missing on the iPad and iPhone that became an unnoficial rallying point for competitors whose products could 'run Flash', 'access the entire web,' and could  'watch thousands of videos.' Well those days are coming to a close as Adobe is focusing purely on desktop Flash and leaving the mobile space. Adobe will instead find ways to make HTML 5 the universal mobile dynamic media delivery service.

Kobo sold to Japanese e-commerce company for $315 million

It was as good a time as any to sell Kobo. With recent success from its Kobo Reader Touch and the newly released Kobo Vox, the Toronto-based e-Book maker looks like a great acquisition. Rakuten, Inc.  and Kobo Inc. today announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Rakuten intends to acquire 100% of total issued and outstanding shares of Kobo for US$315 million in cash.
