Google Docs to use AI to make sure your documents are grammatically correct

Google wants to make sure the documents you type out on its Docs app are as grammatically correct as possible. One of the new updates coming to G Suite users that are part of its Early Adopter Program is the grammar check option. It makes use of machine translation to locate everything from basic grammatical errors to issues with sentence structure. And since this makes use of artificial intelligence, this should also learn over time and catch those “trickier” problems. While it’s currently only available to business users, Google does plan to roll this out to other users as well.

Facebook and Rockstar offer ‘GTA Online’ rewards when you watch livestreams

Aside from releasing the Grand Theft Auto Online After Hours update, Rockstar has one more trick up its sleeves to entice its gamers to watch Facebook livestreams. The game developer and social network are giving away free GTA Online currency if you tune in to certain broadcasts. To get these credits, you’ll need to link your Rockstar Games Social Club account to your Facebook account. The first official stream where you can earn currency is on July 27th, which is when Rockstar and Facebook gaming “all-star friends” will mark the launch of After Hours. There will be a series of broadcasts running through mid-August, where these Facebook streamers will be offering perks on their respective channels. You can check this link for any announcements.

YouTube tries out Explore tab feature for iPhone users

One of the newest features YouTube is trying out will bring a bit more variety to its users. But for now only one percent of its iOS users get to see this new Explore feature. This shows up as a tab at the bottom of the app’s home screen and temporarily takes the place of the Trending section (which is still accessible within the said Tab). The videos you will see here are based on what you’re watching but with a “broader scope.” As YouTube’s Director of product management Tom Leung said, “Explore is designed to help you be exposed to different kinds of topics, videos, or channels that you might not otherwise encounter but they’re still personalized—so they’re still based on your viewing activity.”
