Starting on Tuesday, the car-sharing company Car2go is adding over 100 roomier Mercedes-Benz CLAs and GLAs to their fleet in Calgary.
Both the CLAs and GLAs are all-wheel drive, five-passenger vehicles. The CLA is a coupe while the GLA is a compact crossover with expanded cargo capacity.
“Our Calgary members have shown us that having an option with room for more passengers is what they want — one that also performs well, no matter the season,” car2go Calgary general manager Jon Wycoco said in a news release.

Mitsubishi is reportedly discontinuing its i-MiEV hatchback Electric Vehicle due to poor sales.
Green Car Reports got an official statement from Erica Rasch at Mitsubishi Motors North America who confirmed that “2017 was the last model year for the i-MiEV, and all available retail units have been sold.” This is surprising news given the surge in interest in EVs. Nissan's best-selling Leaf EV is re-upping an all new design for 2018 (plus more range), the Chevy Bolt EV has been met with accolades this year and Tesla seems unstoppable now that it has finally started shipping the Model 3.
None of those might have been made possible without the Mitsubishi i-MiEV which predated most mass-produced EVs. Mitsubishi started selling them in 2007.

General Motors is recalling 800,000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks worldwide that could lose power steering, according to documents made public Friday.
"The 2014 model year trucks could apparently suffer a temporary loss of electric power steering, especially during low-speed turning maneuvers, according to documents disclosed Friday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration," said a report from Automotive News.
The recall includes about 690,000 vehicles in the U.S., 80,000 in Canada and around 25,000 in other markets. GM dealers will reflash the vehicle's software to address the defect. No crashes or injuries have been reported as part of the recall.
