Google updates Photos app for iOS, doesn’t bring Chromecast support yet

Google has now brought the redesigned Photos app to iOS. However, it doesn’t have Chromecast support just yet. The app does, however, let you share animations via Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger. Users in the US get the ability to label people and merge face groups. These users can also look for the photo they need using the name of the people in the shots or combine the name with a specific location. Hopefully that feature plus the Chromecast support makes its way to us soon.

‘The Martian’ becomes an Apple Watch game

The Martian, Ridley Scott’s new sci-fi film, gets a new game on iOS with an Apple Watch tie-in as the movie premieres around the world. Little Labs developed the game with the help of the author of the original book the movie was based on. It’s a text-based strategy game that prompts its players to make decisions that can help astronaut Mark Watney solve problems while he’s stuck on Mars.

The game costs $3.49 and is available as a universal download for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. It won’t have any in-app purchases or downloads following the initial purchase.

‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ is finally making a PC comeback

After a horribly buggy release for the PC, Batman: Arkham Knight is finally making a comeback to the PC. According to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the patch to fix the many bugs will be ready by the end of the month. And it will support “all DLC that has been released for the console versions.” Perhaps the release comes a bit too late for you, but if you have been waiting for this, you just have until the end of the month until you get to play Batman: Arkham Knight on your desktop.
