Sketches of the OnePlus Two surface

OnePlus’ next flagship device, the OnePlus Two, is set to make its debut real soon. And while we know it’ll reportedly have a metal build and fingerprint scanner, not much is known about the device’s design. Business Insider was able to get their hands on leaked sketches of the smartphone. One of it shows the stainless steel bottom portion, USB Type C connector, dual lens camera, and the fingerprint sensor. It looks rather similar to the OnePlus One so it would seem they focused more on upping the specs and boosting marketing for this one.

Apple’s latest trademark hints at El Capitan coming to the iPad

Apple has vehemently said in the past that they plan to keep iOS and OS X separate. But a new trademark filing might see a crossover. According to the European Patent & Trademark Office’s official El Capitan filing, tablets have been added as a category that can be covered by the operating system’s trademark. Of course, Apple might just be covering all its bases but there is a possibility of this happening. There have been incessant rumours that a 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be making a debut, perhaps putting in Apple’s desktop OS on it might make it an even more viable device.

Sony partners with IFTTT for Lifelog Channel

IFTTT (If This Then That) is in the business of automating your digital activities so you don’t have to think about them again. For example, when you get tagged on Facebook, it can save the photo to a folder on your Dropbox. The service is putting itself to good use once again with Sony and its Lifelog API.

The two companies are working to build a Lifelog Channel, which will create various triggers for you to automate. The channels available include the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Google Drive, Flickr, and, of course, Sony’s own Lifelog app. Some of the “recipes” you can activate include posting a tweet once you reach a certain calorie goal or keep a log of the calories you’ve burnt on Google Drive.

SoundCloud makes music search easier on iOS app

With so many music streaming options out there, if a service doesn’t innovate, it will get left behind. That’s why SoundCloud has just introduced new features to its iOS app to keep their users listening on the app. The iOS app now features a “Play related tracks” option so you can hear songs similar to a track you love. The app also now has a shuffle feature for your liked songs or playlists. And you can now edit said playlists within the app. You no longer have to switch to the browser to do so. The update is already available for iOS. However, there is no word when Android users will be getting these new nifty features.
