Interactive timeline explains why time passes by quickly as you age

We’re already past the half year mark for 2015 and if you’re older, you tend to feel this more than if you were in your teens. Why is that? An interactive timeline made by Maximilian Kiener is there to explain the phenomenon to you. According to the timeline, the brain’s perception of time shifts as you get older, making it seem like time is moving faster than it really is.  So, the longer you live, the smaller a year becomes in relation to your entire life as a whole. The example given on Lifehacker is, when you’re five, a year is considered 20 percent of your life. When you’re 50, a year is only two percent of your life. Kiener’s timeline is based on the theory from philosopher Paul Janet. You can check it out here yourself, if you want this concept explained to you in an easier manner.

Nike develops new kicks for athletes with disabilities

Tying and putting on shoes are simple enough activities for most of us but there are those who aren’t able to do this as easily as we do. And that was part of the concept behind a new easy-entry sneaker line from Nike called Flyease. The shoe had been in development for a while under Nike designer Tobie Hatfield. Walzer suffers from cerebral palsy and when he wrote that letter he was in high school and getting ready or at least thinking about going to college. But with his condition, where one of the effects stiffens the muscles in his body, he couldn’t tie his shoes without help from his loved ones. Plus, he needed shoes that had ankle support. So, he decided to get in touch with the Nike head.

Xbox-to-Windows game streaming is now available

Microsoft has lifted their resctrictions for Xbox-to-PC-game streaming in time for the upcoming release of Windows 10. Aside from that, the Windows 10 Xbox app is getting a whole bunch of new features. There’s now party chat, updated My Games functionality, and tweaks on how screenshots and video clips are shared through the Game DVR.

When you use My Games now, you won’t just see the games you’ve purchased from the Windows Store, you’ll also get to see the games you’ve purchased from other sources as well. You have the option to manually add titles if they don’t show up, too.
