Snapseed gets much-needed update

It's worrying when an app doesn't get an update for over two years, especially if the app is owned by Google. But it would seem the tech giant isn't giving the kiss of death to its photo editing app, Snapseed, just yet. The app receives a much needed update to put it at par with its many competitors. Some of the new tools include Tonal Contrast, Lens Blur, Intelligent Perspective Transform, and Spot Healing. One of the good things about Snapseed is you can select which parts of the photo you want filters to be applied, giving you more flexibility.

Making it more of a professional editing tool, the app also has a new Stacks feature. This allows you to undo any changes you have made or even re-edit those that have already been edited. You can also copy specific edits from one photo to another, making batch editing even easier. And another great thing? You get all of these for free.

Kindle for Android update helps you read difficult words with ease

Amazon's latest update for Kindle on Android will make it easier to get through hard text. The company introduced the new Word Wise feature to the app. What this does is it displays the definitions of hard words right above what you're reading so it'll be easier to look up meanings. The feature will be especially useful if you're learning English or have a child learning vocabulary. However, it isn't available for all books. According to Amazon, it's "available on many popular English language titles."

This version 4.11.0 update also introduces the ability to make flash cards, improved manga navigation, and some bug fixes for the app.

Learn Klingon with Duolingo

Nope. This isn't an April Fool's joke. There will come a time when you will be able to learn Klingon online. Duolingo just announced that they'll be carrying a Klingon course. For those who don't know, Klingon is the fictional language on Star TrekIt was created by Marc Okrand. According to Duolingo the language is quite direct and mixes in sense of humour and "plenty of insults." It revolves largely around "spacecraft, weaponry, and warfare." Of course, we don't have to tell the Trekkies that. But if this seems to be something you'd be interested in. You can have Duolingo let you know when the course is up. Now, if someone can teach me Sindarin, that would be awesome.
