Runtastic, together with Oculus Rift, are introducing the future of health and fitness with Runtastic for Oculus VR. They are bringing a selection of popular strength and toning workouts to the Oculus VR including squats, lunges, yoga routines, and 7-Minute Workout. This will let you complete workouts whether you are while you’re visualizing exercising atop a hillside, inside a beachside villa, or in a futuristic black hole. There will be other “locations” added in the future to help create that ideal fitness or meditation area for you. Runtastic will be showcasing this new technology at CES 2015 at Booth #74107 in Tech West from January 6 to 9, 2015.

YouTube 6.0 introduces live chat area on Android app

Chatting on YouTube live streams isn’t particularly new. But it was previously a desktop-exclusive feature. It would seem the feature would be making its way to Android though. In the teardown of YouTube 6.0 APK, one of Android Police’s readers found a new “Live Chat” option at the bottom of a live streaming video. You just need to tap the up arrow or slide the bar to the top of the window to check out the live chat. The 6.0.13 should be rolling out to users now, just wait a bit for it to head your way.

Apple unveils new holiday ad

Following last year’s “Misunderstood” ad, Apple has just released on its site its new holiday ad. Entitled “The Song,” the concept behind it involves a girl who discovers a gift from her grandmother to her grandfather from 1952. It was an old record that has a message talking about how they couldn’t be together for the holidays as well as a rendition of “Love is Here to Stay” by her grandmother. The young girl learned the tunes and vocals of the song and recorded her portions and put it alongside her grandmother’s. She then leaves an iPad mini with a note that says, “A Duet, Press Play” for her grandmother to find.
