LG debuts G3 Stylus ahead of IFA

LG isn’t waiting for IFA to drop a new version of its flagship device. The G3 Stylus can be seen as a Samsung Galaxy Note competitor but it seems to be a bit lower spec’d than Sammy’s offering. It comes with a Rubberdium stylus and is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (with microSD support), 13-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, and 3000mAh battery. Unfortunately, it looks like it doesn’t have LTE capability. It will be available next month in Brazil first with other regions to follow. No details on pricing yet but it will come in black, gold, and white.

Rogers and Fido offer in-store diagnosis with Device Tune-up

Rogers and Fido are trying to lessen the time you spend away from your smartphones with a new in-store offering. Device Tune-up service is a diagnostic tool that will let store reps solve your smartphone issues on the spot. Some of the services they offer include a diagnosis of the problems that may plague your device; secure your device and data; as well as wipe and back up your data if you’re passing on the device to someone. They will also help you transfer data from one device to another if you are upgrading. Of course, being able to transfer data is still dependent on what OS you are using and where your data is saved.

Samsung tipped to develop its own circular smartwatch

Looks like LG isn’t the only one following Motorola’s lead. According to a report from SamMobile, Samsung is planning on releasing its own take on the circular design for its smartwatches on an upcoming wearable device. There are hardly any details at the moment and it isn’t known if the device will run on Tizen or Android Wear. We are expected to see this new gadget a few months after the Galaxy Note 4 is released. We will keep you posted on any updates about this possible smartwatch.
