Microsoft extends Windows 8.1 update deadline by a month

Microsoft is helping those who have been procrastinating about updating their Windows OS to Windows 8.1 have one more month to do so. The company has pushed back the update deadline to June 10th. Those who do not update their computers after the date will no longer receive updates from Microsoft. But if you have Automatic Update turned on, we’re sure you already got the update on your device. If you don’t have it turned on yet, you can follow the instructions here.

‘The Last Of Us Remastered’ release for PS4 reportedly delayed, might be out by August 7th

Sony has previously said The Last Of Us Remastered version for the PlayStation 4 is going to be released this summer. The company did not officially say when but retailers’ announcement generally agreed that it would be around June 13th.  However, Ubergizmo reports New Zealand retailer Mighty Ape sent out emails to customers who pre-ordered The Last Of Us that the game’s release has shifted to August 7th. Sony still hasn’t made an announcement about the release nor have they contradicted Mighty Ape’s announcement. At this time, it’s best to anticipate a delay.

Twitter rolls out mute feature for individual users

Annoyed by tweets of a certain user but don’t want to offend them by unfollowing them? Twitter has begun rolling out its mute feature to the public. The company began testing mute for a small group of users and is now officially making its way to everyone. Mute allows you to no longer see tweets and retweets from the selected user on your timeline. You will also no longer receive SMS or push notifications from the user. They will still be able to retweet, favorite, or reply to your activities but at least you won’t be able to see their Twitter activity on your main timeline.

You can mute Twitter users by tapping on their tweet and selecting more and then “Mute @username” or you can head to their profile and select the gear icon and then tap on “Mute @username.” The feature is available for Web as well as Android and iOS apps.

CNN lets Google Glass users support its citizen journalism platform

Have a story to tell and Google Glass on hand? CNN is expanding its citizen journalism platform iReport by letting people submit stories using Google Glass. iReport is now available on Glass and it just needs existing Glass users to authorize CNN to send notifications to their unit. Once that is up and running, you can manage settings and submit photos and videos with the device.
