Final 'Aquaman' trailer sets us up for an origin story and thrill ride

The final traler for 'Aquaman' is out and gives us a glimpse of Arthur Curry A.K.A 'Aquaman' as a half human and half-Atlantean child, his discovery of his powers and lineage as well as the events that lead him to become DC's iconic underwater hero. The money shot is seeing Jason Momoa sport the classic orange and green costume complete with his royal trident. Other intense moments show the expanse of Atlantis, Meera and a menacing Black Manta in full battle regalia.

I'm hoping 'Aquaman' will have the same sense of wonder and denouement that 'Wonder Woman' had and overall it looks less grim than Justice League and more fun, the way comic book movies should be. "Aquaman' surfaces in theatres on December 21, 2018.

Google's Pixel Slate orders may arrive sooner than expected

Google's anticipated Chrome OS Pixel Slate tablet was apparently shipping in Decemeber as per the company but it seems that some lucky people who pre-ordered the tablet might be receiving their units ahead of schedule.

Announced at the same time as the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, the Pixel Slate is the sole Chrome OS device to be launched this year by Google. Essentially a tablet Chrome OS device, it has an accessory keyboard that converts it into a Surface-like 2-in-1 device. The Pixel Slate also accepts the Google Pen for drawing and writing and is available in various processor and storage capacities.

Final Cut Pro X gets updated with workflow extension functionality

Final Cut Pro X just received a huge update by way of workflow extensions that enable professional video editors to use third-party apps and services directly within the editing interface.

Workflow extensions match the look of Final Cut Pro and integrate tightly into the app, allowing editors to drag media into Final Cut Pro libraries, sync playback between extensions and timeline, add clip markers and more.
Apple says, "these extensions make it easy to use popular tools that enhance post-production including review and approval with Frame.io, stock footage browsing and purchasing with Shutterstock and media asset management with CatDV. Workflow extensions can be downloaded free from the Mac App Store starting today. Additional third-party extensions for Final Cut Pro will be available on an ongoing basis."

Fresh Air: The 2018 MacBook Air Review

Having Touch ID on the MacBook Air is transformative upgrade. Why jog your memory for passwords when your fingerprint is good enough. This also means quicker check outs for online sales for stores that accept Apple Pay. Simply touch to pay. Brilliant.

For 2018 Apple has listened to its users and delivered refreshes on not one but two of its most beloved products. The venerable MacBook Air and the plucky Mac mini both got a new lease on life after years of languishing at the back of Apple’s product catalog.

The MacBook Air defined what modern laptops are all about. Its iconic wedge-shaped and slim and light design has been cloned ad nauseam, and it was the genesis of the ultrabook segment.
