Review: Jaybird X3s are the gold standard of sports bluetooth headphones

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

It took me a year but I've transitioned from wired headphones to wireless bluetooth headphones. Going wireless is just more convenient and hassle free. No more tangles, no more getting snagged on exercise machines plus smartphones are starting to lose the headphone jack, some for valid reasons, so its a good time to move on.

Jaybird's X3 wireless bluetooth headphones are the most advanced and multifunctional sports-focused and general-use headphones I have used. Starting from the wide choice of eartip sizes and materials for a perfect and comfortable fit, to the fact that they redesigned them so that the earbuds only contain speakers and the batteries (there's two of them, good for 8 hours).

Apple's wireless AirPods are going to be delayed

Apple's new wireless AirPod wireless headphones are going to be delayed. The devices, which were previewed along the iPhone 7 Plus as an option for the removal of the headphone jack, offered a new way to listent to music but more importantly showed a more intimate way to interact with Siri as well as serve as stereo or mono bluetooth headsets for calls and audio playback.

AirPods were expected to come 'late October' and speculated to be available for sale starting this week. Apple told TechCrunch that the accessories aren't ready and will need more time in the oven before they are going to be released in the wild. Some handpicked Apple media got to take pre-production AirPods and most say that they work well and are quite transformative. I guess we'll have to wait a little longer to find out if that is true.

While the Surface Pro 4 from last year remained generally unchanged (although the pricing went down in certain markets), the Surface Book has been refreshed with twice the performance, 16 hours of battery life and a price of CAD $at $3,129 ERP.

The biggest news was the Surface Studio, Microsoft's take on the 2-in-1 computer and its answer to Apple's 5K iMac. Featuring a floating display that Microsoft says is the thinnest at 12.5mm thin, connected to a mini-desktop.
