Google employees walking out to protest handling of harassment and misconduct

Google employees around the world are walking out in solidarity to protest how the company has handled sexual harassment and misconduct. Staring in Google offices across Asia, the walkout resonates the feeling that Google has handled sexual misconduct cases improperly in the eyes of its employees.

This is the latest expression of backlash against harassment and the use of power to subject subordinates to unwanted sexual advances. that's swept the enterainment industry and is now rippling through other industries. Silicon Valley is mostly male dominated and is said to foster risque behaviour many are likening to college fraternities. Google employees are capturing the proceedings on social media using the #GoogleWalkout hashtag.

Review: Waze navigation app on Apple CarPlay

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Apple CarPlay users have been rather limited when it comes to the built-in navigation app. For the longest time, Apple Maps was the default application on CarPlay and it worked in conjunction with Siri for voice commands and for navigating to locations hands-free.

Review: Apple iPhone XR

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Apple’s third iPhone release for 2018, the colourful and perky iPhone XR, may have been relegated to second-class citizen status behind the pricier iPhone XS and XS Max and the new iPad Pro, Mac mini and MacBook Air unveiled today.

On any other year, a device like the iPhone XR would shine and stand alone as a worthy and worthwhile iPhone release. There’s a lot to the iPhone XR that will endear it to many users whose iPhone 6, iPhone SE or iPhone 7 handsets may be on their last legs.

Yes, it is more affordable than the premium iPhone XS family and if you can get over some of the manufacturing compromises (i.e. aluminum over stainless steel, LCD technology over OLED, 3 GB of RAM instead of 4 GB, single 12-megapixel rear camera instead of two) then the iPhone XR still has plenty to offer.
