Microsoft's Kinect for Windows v2 comes in July for $199

Microsoft's Kinect 2 may have not made a big splash as part of the Xbox One, which prodded Redmond to offer their console sans Kinect and at a more affordable price (more in tune with what rival Sony priced their own PlayStation4 console). Windows users are now getting their version of the Kinect this July and pre-orders are opening up for the device which will cost $199.00 in Canada. Will you be picking up the smarter, more sensitive Kinect for Windows?

Google Now turns into your virtual spouse with occasional reminders

In case you needed someone nagging you to get a certain chore done, Google Now has an occasional reminder feature that lets you set recurring alarms for a particular task. It can also be a one-time reminder based on your time or location (like it will remind you to buy milk if it senses you are inside a supermarket). We’re not sure how frequently the alarm will sound off but if you really need that extra push, this might be a good feature to utilize.

Wear Aware helps you keep track of your Android smartphone

Wear Aware is designed to add a bit more functionality to your Android Wear device. It is like a leash for your smartphone that when you walk away from your device, it vibrates and plays an alarm to let you know you left your phone behind. It’s a pretty simple app and we’ve seen this on the likes of the Samsung Gear watches and the Pebble smartwatch but it is still good to have that option on the new Android Wear devices.
