Huawei's monster camera smartphone the Mate 20 Pro comes to Canada this fall

2018 has been Huawei's big year in disrupting the premium smartphone market mostly on the merit of their stellar Leica designed cameras. This year's P20 Pro was a standound flagship that challenged the likes of Samsung and Apple while leapfrogging the market with superb zoom functionality.

Launched yesterday at an even in London was the Mate 20 Pro which is reportedly coming to Canada in November with preorders starting on October 25. The Mate 20 Pro brings a slim, tall 6.3-inch profile, curved glass infinity-display and three camera array to the market.

Huawei follows Apple's footsteps by offering the second 7 nanometer mobile processor in the market (the first for an Android-powered device). As for the defining feature of this device, it's three camera array, Huawei has gotten rid of the monochrome camera that was a popular feature on on the P10 and the P20 Pro.

This time around we get a telephoto lens, a wide angle lens, and an ultra-wide angle lens. Stay tuned for first impressions of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro in the coming weeks.

OnePlus 6T leak reveals fingerprint sensor under display, new 256 GB storage option

The OnePlus 6T is the next flagship Android fans are waiting for. Expected to be launched on Oct 30, the OnePlus 6T will ship in early November. There are hints that this will be a spectacular device with powerful Octa-Core processors, 6GB of RAM and one of the first fingerprint sensors that will be hidden under the display.

A recent leak shows there will likely be a 256GB version for increased storage. The OnePlus 6T will omit the headphone jack and it will also feature a teardrop notch, one of the industry's smallest, for a front-facing camera.

Apple updates its Privacy website and outlines various iOS and mac OS protection features 

Apple’s commitment to privacy as a fundamental right is built into its hardware, software and services and the company has just updated its Privacy website with information on how its devices and software go the extra mile to protect user's private data, location and details through a variety of transparent features.

Today’s smartphones and computers don’t serve as mere tools for work or pleasure. They contain a vast amount of personal information, private data, photos, location information and even valued corporate information. Apple puts personal privacy of its users as a top priority, not that people have something to hide or are doing illegal activities with their devices, but because Apple believes privacy is a fundamental right worth protecting.

Volvo spearheads Canada's first car subscription service

Volvo toady launched Canada's first car subscription service. Care by Volvo runs off a smartphone app and gives subscribers who pay the $1,000 monthly fee, access to different Volvo vehicles they can change for 12 months.

The service, which lasts for 24 months, professional maintenance; 24/7 roadside assistance; winter tires with included installation and storage; appearance, road hazard, and wear and tear protection; and concierge services are bubdled with the service. The choices are currently between a V60 luxury wagon or a S60 Sports sedan.
