Ford to recall half a million vehicles for potential fuel tank leakage issues

Ford is recalling 451,865 2010 and 2011 models of Ford Fusions and Mercury Milans made and sold in North America due to faulty fuel tanks that could cause leakage.

The issue deals with a defective canister purge valve that causes internal fuel tank pressure changes. No accidents or fires have been reported, the affected vehicles were constructed at its Hermosillo Assembly Plant in Mexico.

This is the latest in recent recall from Ford these past few months. They recalled 40,000 F-150 trucks in August for a defect where brakes could be suddenly triggered  when they're not supposed to and the Ford Fusion, Fiesta and Lincoln MKZ for problems with a latch that can cause a door to open
