Microsoft and adidas partner to create limited-edition Xbox sneakers

Microsoft is commemorating the 20th year of the Xbox console with limited-edition Xbox sneakers it's made in collaboration with adidas. The sneakers have the Xbox logo on them and come with translucent green details. It looks like Microsoft will use this version for giveaways. But there will be a different Xbox-inspired sneaker available for purchase later this year.

"This is just the beginning of our partnership with adidas, and over the next few months, we'll continue to mark our 20th anniversary by launching additional sneakers inspired by past and present Xbox console generations, including the first-ever sneaker available for purchase by our fans later this year," explains James Monosmith, a marketing manager at Xbox.

Amazon Alexa can now wait a bit before it answers your questions

Anete Lusina/Pexels

Amazon has updated Alexa to make it wait a bit before it responds to your queries. This feature will come in handy if you have a long question to ask the digital assistant or if you have a speech impediment and it takes you a bit more time to ask or say something. You can enable this functionality in the Alexa app.

Android users in the US can now also type in their requests in the Alexa app. It's in public preview right now, and we're hoping Amazon rolls it out more widely later.

Instagram rebrands IGTV to Instagram TV

Instagram

Instagram is throwing in the towel on IGTV. At least, it is when it comes to that branding. The company is now calling that effort Instagram TV. And it is getting rid of the exclusive IGTV video format. Videos posted to the main Instagram feed can now run up to 60 minutes. That time length was previously reserved for IGTV videos. And IGTV app is now called the Instagram TV app, and a company spokesperson said it would continue to be a "destination for people to visit with the intent of watching video."

Feed videos and IGTV videos will now be consolidated into Instagram TV. They will get a single tab on profile pages. Reels, or Instagram's take on TikTok, looks to be a separate thing still.
