Instagram lets you restore recently deleted posts

Instagram is launching a new feature to help you gain access to content you deleted. The aptly-named Recently Deleted allows you to review and restore deleted content in the Instagram app. The social network also said it added protections to prevent hackers from compromising your account and deleting posts you've shared.

Now, Instagram will ask you to verify that you're the rightful account holder when permanently deleting or restoring content from the Recently Deleted folder.

Google will no longer make its own games for Stadia

Google will no longer make games for its Stadia streaming service. The company recently announced it was shutting down its studios in Montreal and Los Angeles. Gaming industry veteran Jade Raymond, who lead the game development division, is leaving the company. But Phil Harrison, Stadia vice president and general manager, wrote in a blog post that Google would continue to invest in the service.

"Creating best-in-class games from the ground up takes many years and significant investment, and the cost is going up exponentially," Harrison wrote. "Given our focus on building on the proven technology of Stadia as well as deepening our business partnerships, we've decided that we will not be investing further in bringing exclusive content from our internal development team SG&E [Stadia Games and Entertainment], beyond any near-term planned games."

'Black Panther' director Ryan Coogler to produce Wakanda-based TV series for Disney+

Aside from working on the sequel for Black Panther, Ryan Coogler will be creating a Disney+ series set in the Kingdom of Wakanda. The writer/director/producer's company Proximity Media signed an exclusive five-year television deal with Walt Disney Company to develop this show and other series that might appear beyond Disney+ and even the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The agreement extends to the entire Walt Disney Company, so his team might produce shows for other Disney-owned networks and streamers.

"Ryan Coogler is a singular storyteller whose vision and range have made him one of the standout filmmakers of his generation," said Bob Iger, executive chairman of The Walt Disney Company, in a press release. "With Black Panther, Ryan brought a groundbreaking story and iconic characters to life in a real, meaningful, and memorable way, creating a watershed cultural moment. We're thrilled to strengthen our relationship and look forward to telling more great stories with Ryan and his team."

You can now use the iPad's handwriting feature in Canadian French

The latest developer beta version of iPadOS adds new language support for the iPad's handwriting feature, which means more users can get more out of the Apple Pencil. The languages supported include Canadian French, Italian, Portuguese, French, German, and Spanish.

Through the beta, you can now use Scribble to write in any text field using these languages. It also supports Smart Selection, meaning you can easily select, cut, and paste words from one document to another and have your written note appear as typed text. And the iPad's data detectors will also now work with handwritten text in these languages so the system can recognize things like phone numbers, dates, and addresses and make it easier to do quick action with these pieces of information.
