Render of BlackBerry Q30/Windemere smartphone shows a best of both worlds device

BlackBerry's Z30 is an accomplished smartphone that has power and functionality as well as substantial innovation to set it apart from the other flagship devices. It is one of the best 5-inch devices that you can actually use with one hand and now that it can run Android apps, it is also one of the more dynamic smartphone choices out there. There's been some talk about the Q30, which takes the best parts of the Z30 and the keyboard of the Q10. The rendering above gives us an idea of what this device could look like and it is quite elegant, specially for users that are hankering for another QWERTY enabled BlackBerry and possibly a larger one.

First look at LG's Lifeband Touch fitness tracker

Fitness trackers are certainly a mixed bag. For some, they're the perfect companion to stay on point with fitness goals, and for others, they're overpriced baubles that require too much maintenance via apps or web applications. LG's Lifeband Touch fitness tracker made quite a splash at CES 2014. This device is said to feature a 2-5 day battery life, is compatible with Android and iOS, comes in different sizes and has a bright OLED display. LG features its own apps but the Lifeband can be used with MyFitness Pal, Runkeeper, and MapMyFitness services. Perhaps LG can bring something new to this wearable fitness tracker space after all.

Is the Fleksy SDK keyboard headed to iOS?

It looks like iOS users who are looking for an alternative to the stock keyboard can look forward to Fleksy SDK. Fleksy for iOS looks like a way to customize the look of the iPhone's keyboard to complement iOS 7's many hues as well as the iPhone 5c's colourful polycarbonate shells. Fleksy SDK seems geared to developers who want to spice up their apps.

There doesn't seem to be any advanced predictive text or Swype-like functionality which isn't surprising, it is unlikely that Apple will open this aspect of the OS to a third party developer. From what we see from the above leaked photo and from Fleksy's own website is that this is a way to get larger keys and a neat way to skin your keyboard, if you're into that sort of thing.
