Source: Samsung

Samsung Canada has announced that its new rugged tablet is now available in the country. The Galaxy Tab Active3 retails for $779.99, and it comes in black. It is available at Samsung.com, Samsung Experience Stores, Bell, and participating distributors and resellers. This ruggedized slate promises to have better touch capacity to help field-based professionals who use gloves easily access what they need on this device.

As a rugged device, it was tested against military standard MIL-STD-810H. It has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and improved shock absorption up to 1.5 metres courtesy of its included protected cover. The Galaxy Tab Active2, with its case, has shock absorption up to 1.2 metres.

You can get 'Star Wars Battlefront 2' for free on Epic Games Store

If you mean to check out Star Wars Battlefront II, you might want to check out the Epic Games Store this week. The Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition is free over at Epic's store. It includes all the customization content you can get through in-game purchases released through December 20, 2019.

To access the free game, you have to get it before January 21 is over. The title will be tied to your Epic Games Store account, so, of course, it is only playable on the PC. After the 21st, Epic will be offering Galactic Civilizations III for free until January 28.

ASUS ZenBeam Latte is a cup-sized projector

Source: ASUS

ASUS' new compact projector might remind you of your favourite cup of coffee. The ZenBeam Latte L1 comes in the form factor of the drink it's inspired by, and we can't help but be charmed by its shape. It has a built-in speaker that ASUS claims is enhanced by its fabric exterior. It's about the size of a Bluetooth speaker, and with its Harman Kardon 10-watt speaker and Bluetooth connectivity, it can act like one for as long as 12 hours on a single charge.

Of course, you'd want to use it as a projector. It can project images ranging from 40 inches to 120 inches, and it has a modest 300 lumens of brightness courtesy of LEDs. Its battery life is projected (pun unintended) to last around three hours, which should get you through two relatively short movies or one blockbuster.

Samsung debuts new Galaxy Buds Pro earbuds

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro has also leaked ahead of the official Unpacked event, so there isn't much of a surprise here. It looks like a cross between the Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Buds+, which means it is less bean-like than its predecessor.

As we've seen in the leaks, it introduces Intelligent Active Noise Cancellation, which offers adjustable ANC that allows you to lower the level of noise cancellation in areas when it doesn't need it. It also has Ambient Sound, which lets you hear what is happening around you without needing to take these wireless earbuds off.
