Telus launches Samsung Fascinate Android smartphone

The highly anticipated Galaxy S Fascinate 3G+ is now available exclusively from TELUS. Armed with Google’s Android 2.1 operating system, Samsung’s signature Super AMOLED screen and a lengthy list of advanced multimedia features, the Fascinate will wow Canadian consumers — from gamers and tweeters to mobile video jockeys and plugged-in executives.
Today, Torontonians can see the hot new smartphone in action during the Mobile Gaming Expo hosted by Samsung. The expo, which runs from 11 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Yonge and Dundas Square, brings together four Canadian World Cyber Game champions in game-offs against one another and gaming enthusiasts – all played on the Fascinate. The official face-off between the four world champions takes place between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.
Fascinate’s four-inch AMOLED screen takes gaming and HD movies to a whole new level. Users can watch videos, play games and view photos even in the brightest sun. The device’s high-resolution camera allows users to film videos in HD and transfer them wirelessly to laptops and Bluetooth-enabled TVs.
In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 3G+ offers social-media enthusiasts an enhanced experience through the Samsung Social Hub, an integrated networking feature that brings together social network services, such as Facebook and Twitter, and integrates them with contacts and messaging services, thereby centralizing all social activity in one location.
Available exclusively from TELUS, the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 3G+ is sold at Future Shop, Best Buy and TELUS stores nationally for as low as $149.99 on a three year contract or $529.99 without a contract.
