Samsung Mobile, announced Canadian availability of the sleek and stylish Galaxy Spica touchscreen mobile device.  Available exclusively through Rogers Communications Inc., Galaxy Spica is Samsung’s latest Android-powered smartphone, offering the perfect mix of cutting-edge technology, customizable features, time-saving functions, social capabilities and access to thousands of popular applications and games.

The Galaxy Spica is a slim and compact Android-powered smartphone that offers seamless connectivity with access to Google mobile services and popular social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Users can select from thousands of applications available through Android-market and the device’s powerful 800 MHZ application processor ensures fast performing apps, quick response times and uninterrupted multitasking.  The intuitive and responsive 3.2” touchscreen makes operation a breeze and enables users to easily navigate and scroll through features and menus.
 
The device supports the full suite of Google services, including Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google Talk. Also, offered for the first time on a Samsung Android-powered device, DivX enables easy video display in a wide variety formats without the hassle of file conversions.

The Samsung Galaxy Spica currently sells for $79.99 on three-year voice and data activations with minimum combined monthly service fees of $45. It is available for purchase at participating Rogers dealers and retail locations across Canada or online at www.rogers.com.
