Review: Incipio Samsung Focus feather Ultralight Hard Shell Case

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

The Samsung Focus is arguably one of  the best Windows Phone 7 smartphones in the market today and may seem perfect all around in terms of shape, size and finish. The Incipio feather Ultralight Hard Shell Case is a snap on rubberized case that adds minimal bulk but offers more than enough protection while enabling quick access to all the ports and buttons.

Incipio has managed to accurately copy the shape and design of the Samsung Focus so this feather Ultralight Hard Shell Case ($29.99, but we were able to buy one at an AT&T Store in Boston for $5.00 on sale). As a result, the case fits perfectly and adds a layer of protection while improving the Samsung Focus' grip.

The case is sturdy yet with enough flext to disperse impact of a drop and the fit and finish is top notch. From a distance, it is even difficult to tell that the Focus has any case at all. The only indicator is the subtle 'Incipio" branding on the lower part of the case.

We think that $30 for a plastic case, no matter how nice it is or how well it fits is exorbitant. $30 would be acceptable for one of those tough cases or even a leather case.

If you can manage to find the feather Ultralight Hard Shell Case on sale or online at a reduced price, it is a great option for the Samsung Focus and another impressive example of Incipio's high quality and versatility. It is available in black, red, pink and grey.
