Samsung launches Galaxy Note II and Galaxy Rugby LTE

The Samsung juggernaut isn't standing still. Today's the day we see the second generation phablet stomp into the market as the bigger, badder Galaxy Note II becomes available. Samsung also given Telus the green light to launch the Galaxy Rugby LTE. 

Available in Marble White or Titanium Gray color options through all major carriers and retailers, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is the ultimate smartphone for on-the-go productivity and content creation.

Samsung began shipping the Galaxy Note II today and the product will be available for purchase at local carriers and retailers over the next two weeks. Some of the highlights include a1.6GHz quad-core processor with LTE and HSPA connectivity Android 4.1 (also known as Google Jelly Bean) includes upgraded Google services such as Google Now (featuring contextual search). 3,100 mAh battery guarantees the sufficient power for amazing smart mobile experiences. 

The Galaxy Note II's biggest, um, feature is a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display provides brilliant visual clarity with a 16:9 screen ratio and that you can use a S Pen with certain Samsung-made apps. Pricing and availability are carrier specific.

As for the Galaxy Rugby II, it is Samsung's tough smartphone.

Operating on TELUS’ new premium LTE data network with a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, the device combines speed with durable water and dust-proof design, proving a smartphone can be as fast as it is tough.

The first rugged device in Canada to run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Samsung Galaxy Rugby LTE is available for $49 on a three year term with a minimum $50 plan/add-on.
