First look at Fujifilm's X-T1 camera

Fujifilm sponsored a media event earlier today to show off some of their latest cameras. The biggest one was the X-T1. A 16 megapixel system camera that is tough and weather sealed and can operate in -10 temperatures. I spent a little time with this camera and was impressed by it's feel but most specially by its high-resolution 2.36M-dot OLED display, and the world's highest magnification ratio of 0.77x, the Fujifilm X-T1's Real Time Viewfinder. We also saw some of Fujifilm's other products on display. 

The Fujifilm X-T1, which ships in March (body only, $1,300), is made out of solid magnesium alloy, the machined dials and buttons are made out of aluminium. It is sandblasted and finished with a nice matte feel. It feels solid, durable, and premium. Personally, I liked the look, feel and responsiveness more than the X-Pro1, but that's just me. The X-T1 has corresponding Android and iOS apps that allow you to turn your smarphone into a remote control. I'll have a video of the demo soon.

Early buyers will be getting a free battery grip (while supplies last). We were hoping to have a unit for review here but none was issued, so maybe we'll get to test this bad boy in the future.
