Xbox One update improves Snap multitasking function and other handy features

Microsoft just started rolling out a new update for its Xbox One console with a whole bunch of useful features. Some of the features are intended to improve use of Snap multitasking function, secure Xbox account, and access their social circles.

Here’s a quick rundown of the 249MB patch:

  • Snap function gets better navigation, which means you can double tap the Guide button to open a new app in Snap mode, close app you’re using, or switch between your game and an app.

  • Record 30 second gameplay in Snap mode.

  • Access to your friends and Achievements by double tapping the Guide button as well. You can see what Achievements you friends have unlocked.

  • A new Game Score Leaderboard shows where you are against the many, many other gamers.

  • Access game console’s clock and Digital Video Recorder functionality

  • You can check battery life of the control pad. And it can make your controller vibrate remotely if you can’t seem to find it.

  • Better two-step security authentication.
