Spring is here: what I am wearing and carrying

By Corey Herscu

I don't think I can express how elated I am to be writing this post. Parka weather (finally) seems to be a bitter distant memory and we - as loving Torontonians - can peel off the layers and start showing our true street style; such brings the inspiration for this post. I've been asked numerous times what my 'go-to' apparel is, so I figured why not throw something together? Pictured above and detailed below is set to be my street style for this Spring 2014.

Faded Lifestyle Vest:

Designed and created by Jonathan Shimoni, this Spring vest if filled with grey down goose feathers and has a nylon-down inner lining. The outside shell features Alpaca wool cashmere with 100% wool lining. It's as gorgeous as it is functional and can be dressed up or down depending on the days needs.

Faded Lifestyle Rain Hoodie:

This hoodie definitely garners the most attention from onlookers. Featuring sleeves made of Teflon washed polyester, direct from the now defunct US-based maldin mills factory, it's considered high end technical polyester. The body itself is a pu coated denim, which gives it the tough, waterproof feel. I love hoodies and love the fact that it's proudly Canadian and doesn't look like every other hoody available for purchase.

Scotch and Soda Men's Camouflage pants:

I think camouflage pants speak for themselves. They're timeless (so long as they don't have cargo pockets) and can be dressed up or down, depending on the situation (how liberal you're feeling), blazer and shoes paired with.

Sorel Men's Greely Chukka Boot:

A man needs to own a few staples in his wardrobe: a fresh black suit, a nice watch, a nice wallet, at least one or two tailored dress shirts, and a clean pair of chukkas. Featuring premium suede leather and a comfortable herringbone rubber sole; this waterproof ankle boot does double time to keep you dry and protected without sacrificing style.

Louis Vuitton men's European checkbook and card holder:

This is one of my more ostentatious purchases, but a personal treat nonetheless (never feel the need to justify treating yourself to nice things if your budget allows). A great wallet (akin to a  watch) never goes out of style. Truth be told, it also makes it a lot easier to have business cards handy at a moments notice, rather than constantly worrying about a wallet and card holder combination.

A pack of Cinnamon-flavored PUR Gum:

Friends: never, ever, downplay your breath; it's the first impression that generally sets the tone for any kind of relationship - business or personal. So why choose PUR? There is quite literally no reason why you can't chew it: it's free of all GMO's, aspartame, and gluten.  It's also vegan friendly, peanut-friendly, and tastes great.

The above doesn't account for my plethora of Jordan's, Ewings, Cole Haan's and Air Max 90's you'll catch rocking, but is a good example of whar you'll catch me rocking regulalry this Spring!
