Wutzwhat lifestyle application launches on iOS and Android

Wutzwhat is now available as a free download in the App Store and Google Play. The application – which features the best food, nightlife, shopping, services and hotels in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles – is poised to change the way iPhone and Android users experience their cities.

“Wutzwhat was created with a very simple premise in mind: to help users rediscover their cities,” said Aaron Tench, president and co-founder of Wutzwhat.

Wutzwhat makes planning a shopping trip or night out easier by selectively curating best-of businesses and events; generating first-party, professional photography and write-ups for every profile; and partnering with featured businesses to offer one-of-a-kind experiences that users won't find elsewhere. The result is a clean, simple and effective solution to the onerous question, “So ... where should we go?”

“Wutzwhat encourages people to try new things,” said Rose Chang, co-owner of Crywolf, a boutique shop in Toronto. “It encourages people to shop, explore and check out places they've never been to before.”

More than just a destination app, Wutzwhat also aims to bring businesses and their customers closer together. Features like social media sharing, summoning Hailo cabs and submitting their own curation suggestions gives Wutzwhat users the ability to experience and interact with local businesses like never before.

“As a merchant, it's clear that Wutzwhat has their priorities straight,” said Jon Katayama, general manager of Huckleberry Bar in Brooklyn. “Their main interest lies in working with small, local businesses to provide their users with the best experiences possible -- not wrangling massive and unfair deals that do a disservice to the merchant and customer alike.”
