TechBlocks wants to develop your app for free, worth $30,000

Does your business need a mobile app?

TechBlocks wants to develop your app for free, worth $30,000. TechBlocks, a full-service consulting and development agency with locations in Vaughn, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta is accepting ideas from any North American business or charity with a bright app idea. Businesses can submit their idea here: http://promo.tblocks.com/mobile-contest and receive up to $30,000 towards their app’s development.  The key criterion is how popular your app idea is with your audience. So the sooner you submit the sooner you can start sharing! A panel of TechBlocks judges will then pick the winner.

TechBlocks are big believers in mobile. People want to be able to do everything on their smartphone or tablet that they once did on a laptop or desktop. Which means we are no longer waiting for a mobile future; that future has already arrived.

Catching up in the mobile arms race does take preparation. An app without a strategy or any promotional work to tell your customers isn’t a worthwhile investment. Which is why TechBlocks suggests thinking about what you need, before entering the contest.

A mobile app will accelerate any current marketing activities, while making it easier for you to meet the needs of existing customers and stakeholders. TechBlocks Senior Director of Marketing, Dominic Gignac reveals, ‘In order for an app to be worthwhile you should think about why it’s needed, how you would promote it, and how an app will help meet current objectives and goals.’

The best way to demonstrate that is through a public vote. TechBlocks suggests you put the concept to your audience, through social media and blogs, email campaigns and other marketing activities. If your customers think it’s a great idea, then chances are TechBlocks will as well!

To enter this contest you can be a B2B or B2C brand. You might need a native or a hybrid mobile app. Providing you are a North American company or charitable organization, aged over 18, you can enter. Currently, the contest is underway so the faster you submit your idea the more chances you have for public voting!'
