BMW expected to introduce AirTouch technology at CES

CES 2016 is expected to have a huge slant towards automotive technologies with the most ever car companies on exhibit and various announcements expected to shake things up in the market. BMW is slated to unveil the AirTouch system which enables control of touchscreens without having to actually touch them. 

Integrating gesture control with three dimensional recognition technology, AirTouch users will be be able to:

  • Using a touchscreen without actually touching it
  • Sensors by rear-view mirror monitor hand signals
  • Now three-dimensional hand movements read
  • Works in tandem with button to scroll through virtual menus
