Microsoft YouthSpark Challenge for Change contest launches today

Microsoft YouthSpark Challenge for Change contest launched today. The contest was created to inspire and reward young people who have the passion and creativity to make their communities, schools, campuses, or the world a better place.

This is a worldwide contest open to those aged 13-25, who are encouraged to submit an idea designed to spark change for good in their community or around the world for a chance to win amazing prizes. Hit jump for all the details.

Entries for Microsoft YouthSpark Challenge for Change will be accepted starting today through March 25. Fifteen finalists from each age group (13-17 years old and 18-25 years old) will win a Surface Pro 3 with Office 365. Five grand prize winners from each age group will go on to win:

- A leadership development trip to Nicaragua learn about creating change

- $2,500 cash to help turn their ideas into a reality

- A Microsoft Windows Phone

- The opportunity to serve as a Microsoft YouthSpark Advocate for the year
