Over-the-Air TV comes to Xbox One in the U.S. and Canada with Hauppauge's help

Starting today, members of the Xbox One preview program in the U.S. and Canada can get over-the-air TV by purchasing the Hauppauge WinTV-955Q (MSRP $79.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and Micro Center), and an HDTV antenna. In the next few months, Xbox will be partnering with Hauppauge to release a lower cost version of this tuner, the Hauppauge TV Tuner for Xbox One, retailing for MSRP $59.99, and available to everyone in the U.S. and Canada.

Xbox is partnering with Hauppauge, 23-year veterans in the over-the-air TV space, to deliver one of the most asked for Live TV features to our fans in the U.S. and Canada – an over-the-air TV tuner. Starting today, members of the Xbox One preview program (who volunteer to test features before they’re available to the public) in the U.S. and Canada will be able to test how the over-the-air TV features on Xbox One work by purchasing the Hauppauge WinTV-955Q and an HDTV antenna. The Xbox team is working with Hauppauge to release a lower priced tuner at general availability and will release a lower cost version of this tuner, exclusively for Xbox One, which will be available to everyone in the U.S. and Canada, along with the new over-the-air TV Xbox One features.

Support for over-the-air TV on Xbox One means access to broadcast networks available in your area, like CBS, FOX, NBC, and PBS, with no subscription cost.
