Starbucks app comes to Windows Phone devices in US, Canada and the UK

The much awaited Anniversary Update may have not yet made it to Windows Phone devices but at least users of Microsoft's mobile devices can drown their sorrows with Starbucks coffee. The company has made a Starbucks app available for supported Windows Phones, which means they can use their exisiting Starbucks cards or accounts on ther Lumia devices to buy coffee without a wallet.

“The Starbucks app for Windows 10 Mobile allows customers to use their Windows phone to pay at more than 7.500 Starbucks stores, no wallet necessary,” Microsoft’s Mollie Ruiz-Hopper explains. “Starbucks customers can also use the app to manage your registered Starbucks Cards, locate a Starbucks near you and send an eGift, all using your mobile device.”

Starbucks app users will be able to pay for purchases in 7,500 locations, they can manage their Starbucks cards, participate in loyalty programs, use the app to find the nearest Starbucks branch and even send e-gifts to friends and family as well as leave digital tips for good service.
