Dell updates XPS towers with new designs and added power

Dell has updated its XPS Tower, XPS Tower VR (virtual reality) and a new XPS Tower Special Edition desktops. They bring the blazing speed and performance that tech, gaming and VR enthusiasts asked for with the latest Intel processors and NVIDIA graphics, as well as easy expandability in a new 27 percent smaller form-factor.

Additionally, both the XPS Tower VR and Special Edition come virtual reality-ready for both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, for immersive video, game, film and other experiences. The XPS Tower Special Edition also features a beautiful aluminum design with diamond-cut edges, NVIDIA’s latest Pascal graphics, Intel K-Skus and overclocking capabilities on select configurations.

Did we mention that it produces virtually no sound? The XPS Tower is quiet as a whisper, employing thermally controlled fans that spin only as fast as critically needed, so there are no distractions from the game that you are playing, movie you’re watching or music you’re listening to.

Thanks to inspiration drawn from the Alienware Aurora’s clever engineering, with a simple pull of a lever, unique PSU (power supply) swingarm and tool-less design, you can now swap and upgrade graphics cards and processors in the XPS towers with ease.

Dell, the number one monitor brand worldwide for three years and in North America for 16 years*, offers multiple display options to pair with the XPS Tower line up including the Dell UltraSharp 27 InfinityEdge Monitor and the world's first 27” InfinityEdge monitor with an arm and the Dell 27 Gaming Monitor S2716DG for stunning edge-to-edge gameplay with NVIDIA  G-Sync. Starting price and availability in North America: XPS Tower: $699 (available for purchase Aug. 4); XPS Tower VR: $1,199 (available for purchase Aug. 4); XPS Tower Special Edition: $1,299 (available for purchase Oct. 15). Other regions will launch later this month and into September.
