Sony debuts new mid-range Xperia L1

Sony has unveiled a new mid-range device that takes design cues from its predecessors. There’s nothing out of the ordinary here. It comes with a 5.5-inch HD display and runs on a MediaTek MT6737T processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage with expansion of up to 256GB via microSD, Android 7.0 Nougat, and a 2,620mAh battery. You get a 13-megapixel rear shooter with f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Sony includes its Xperia Actions engine into this device, which changes the settings and functionality of the phone depending on your environment. An example is it’ll set the device to “Do not disturb” and lower the display brightness when it’s nighttime. The L1 comes in black, white, and pink for select markets. It’s supposedly coming to some markets in North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America by late April. No word on pricing at the moment.
