First trailer for ‘The Lion King’ is here

We’re continuing with the wave of nostalgia with the first look at the remake of the 1994 Disney film The Lion King. The new take on this classic film is directed by Iron Man director Jon Favreau and is produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Featuring some very photorealistic, computer animated graphics, this movie is also heavy-hitting when it comes to who’s in the cast. Donald Glover plays Simba, Beyonce is Nala, and James Earl Jones will be reprising his role as Mufasa. We hear him narrate in the trailer as it shows the opening moments of the original film where Rafiki presents young Simba to the animals of the Pride Lands. And yes, Circle of Life is playing in the background. This is all we get for now though as the film is set for release on July 19, 2019.
