Microsoft Surface Neo foldable tablet wants to redefine your mobile productivity

The new foldable devices from Microsoft want to answer a couple of questions: "What if we didn't have to switch between devices, screens or apps? What if one device had two screens to keep us in flow?" 

One of the solutions Microsoft has come up with is the Surface Neo. The company might not want us to call it a tablet, but it has two 9-inch screens attached by a "360-degree full-friction hinge." When laid out in the open, it turns into a full-size 13-inch display with what Microsoft touts as the "thinnest LCD in its class." 

The device weighs 655 grams, and it's 5.6mm thick. It'll run on a new version of Windows 10 called Windows 10 X, which is explicitly designed for dual-screen devices, and an Intel processor.

The video above shows the many ways you can use the device. When you need a physical keyboard, Microsoft will offer one that magnetically attaches to one of the displays. If you place it closer to you, the top part can be used as additional displays reminiscent of the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo. If you move it closer to the other screen, a touchpad appears at the bottom. Oh, and it wirelessly charges when it's attached to the screen, too. And yes, you can use it separately from the screens as well. The Surface Pen works with the two displays, too. But both of these accessories won't ship with the Surface Neo when it launches during the "Holiday 2020" season. Instead, these will be sold separately.
