Apple will shut down Texture on May 28th

It seems inevitable with the launch of Apple News+ service that Apple would be shutting down Texture. But this doesn’t bode well for users of the service who aren’t Apple users. Texture doesn’t currently support Android or Windows, so once it shuts down on May 28^th you won’t have access to the all-you-can-read magazine service. Apple users will be getting a month-long free News+ trial to see if the new service fits. Unfortunately, those Texture subscribers outside of the Apple ecosystem won’t have that option just yet.
