Here’s your first look at the new characters from ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is one of the big blockbuster films closing out our year. And we’re always excited to hear updates about the J.J. Abrams-led film. We get even more excited when we hear about the new characters entering the Star Wars universe. Vanity Fair gave us a sneak peek into the new characters we might grow to love or love to hate once Episode IX drops.

One of them is Keri Russell’s mysterious Zorri Bliss character. From the teaser image Vanity Fair released, she looks like a cross between Laura Dern’s Admiral Holdo hidden under a Boba Fett-like mask. She’s described as a “masked scoundrel” and seen in the image posing at the Thieves’ Quarter on Kijimi.

Vanity Fair also teased Richard E. Grant’s character, Allegiant General Pryde. He’s said to be an important member of the First Order. The image shows him with Domhnall Gleeson’s character, General Hux. Some fans say they seem to bear some resemblance, leaving them to speculate that they might be father and son. But they don’t officially share a family name, so we might have to wait until the film comes out to get the official word.

Meanwhile, Naomi Ackie’s Jannah, who was first teased at the Star Wars Celebration, but we thought it best to share her photo here, too. She’s seen in the photo with John Boyega’s Finn, but not much else is known about her. BuzzFeed’s Nora Dominick speculates that she could be Lando Calrissian’s daughter.

What do you think? Which character are you excited to see the most?
