LinkedIn tests your capabilities with Skills Assessments tool

Do you want to stand out from the crowd of job applicants or just show your capabilities as a professional? LinkedIn rolled out its Skill Assessments test for select categories last week. The feature was first introduced back in May. It's a library of 10-15 minute tests that lets you validate the skills you've listed on your profile. The first batch of tests available includes coding languages like C++, design software like Adobe Photoshop, and business tools like Microsoft Excel, with more coming in the months ahead.

The goal for this free, short-form standardized tests is to both verify your skills as well as give recruiters an easier time looking for qualified candidates. Those who rank in the 70th percentile or above can add a Verified Skill badge to their profiles. Regardless of whether you pass or not, LinkedIn will also be offering relevant material from its Learning's catalogue to help you boost your skills.
