Google has started testing Stadia on other Android phones

Google has already been quietly running public tests for its Stadia on non-Pixel Android phones. Several users claimed they could stream Stadia games on devices like the OnePlus 6T, Samsung Galaxy 10e, and Samsung Galaxy Note 9, to name a few.

It's a notable development since the game streaming service was only available on Google Pixel phones when it launched in November. But the company has promised then to bring support to other devices outside of the Pixel line, without giving a specific timeline, though.

Google seems to be carrying out the test at random. There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to trigger it manually. But if your device can run Stadia, the default "Choose where to play" option should be replaced with the word "This screen" on it, signifying that you can play on your device. From there, you can start playing over Wi-Fi after pairing a controller to your phone. This access, however, only lasts for the specific play session.

It's still unclear when Google plans to roll out to other devices, but with the testing, we're holding out hope for a wide release soon.
