Microsoft opens sign-ups for 'Flight Simulator' VR beta

Source: Asobo Studio/Xbox Game Studios

If you have the hardware for it and want to play Microsoft's Flight Simulator in its most immersive form, then you can sign up for its closed beta test. Asobo Studio has opened sign-ups for the beta, letting you play the game in virtual reality. But you will need a Windows Mixed Reality headset, like the HP Reverb G2, a system that meets minimum specs (equivalent to a GeForce GTX 1080), and a Flight Simulator Insider membership.

This beta round is expected to start in late October or early November. Asobo said there would be "additional devices" included in the second phase, but the developer hasn't said what those headsets would be.
