Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 rumoured to come with an under-display selfie camera

Source: Samsung

Samsung will reportedly use an under-display camera in its upcoming foldable phone. Korean outlet ETNews reports that Samsung will employ this method for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which is expected to launch in the third quarter of 2021.

To improve image quality, the company will supposedly use some "special display design" that will widen the pixels over the camera sensor so more light can get through and will allow it to take better photos. As 9to5Google points out, selfie cameras in foldable phones aren't as necessary since you can use the main sensor. But this is one way to get more screen while maintaining that selfie sensor. It will take a while to arrive, so we're sure to hear more in the coming months.
