Apple will reportedly drop support for original iPhone SE, iPhone 6s series when iOS 15 launches next year

When Apple launches the next iteration of iOS in 2021, there are a few phones that the system might no longer support. According to The VerifierApple might drop support for the original iPhone SEiPhone 6s, and iPhone 6s Plus when iOS 15 comes out.

9to5Mac says the source has a mixed track record when it comes to Apple rumours. But it has accurately reported things like iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 no longer getting updates past iOS 12, and that iOS 14 would support all the same iPhones as iOS 13.

If the rumours are true, these will be the iPhones that will support Apple's next mobile operating system update:

  • 2021 iPhone lineup
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max
  • iPhone 12 Pro
  • iPhone 12 mini
  • iPhone 12
  • iPhone 11
  • iPhone 11 Pro
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone XS Max
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPhone 7
  • iPhone 7 Plus
  • iPhone SE (2nd generation)
  • iPod touch (7th generation)

We don't know anything yet about what iOS 15 will offer, but that's expected as it will arrive sometime in May or June 2021 when Apple holds its Worldwide Developers Conference. What would you like to see Apple bring into iOS?
