ASUS ROG launches new gaming monitors

ASUS Republic of Gamers unveiled a bunch of new gaming monitors during its recent Meta Buffs online launch. A couple of new displays from the company boasts of being the "world's fastest esports gaming monitors," offering refresh rates of up to 360Hz. The ROG Swift 360Hz PG259QN and PG259QNR promise to deliver up to 50 percent more frames per second than the standard 240Hz gaming monitors.

The 24.5-inch FHD panels have a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution and feature Fast IPS panel technology, offering a superfast 1ms gray-to-gray (GTG) response time. The displays are HDR10 compatible, providing better colour and brightness. A built-in NVIDIA G-SYNC processor provides full variable refresh rate range and variable overdrive to make sure gaming visuals don't suffer from tearing, input lag, or stuttering.

The PG259QNR comes with a new Reflex Latency Analyzer, a system latency measurement tool that detects clicks coming from the mouse and then measures the time it takes for resulting pixels to change on the screen (like a gun muzzle flash). ASUS ROG claims this kind of measurement isn't available for gamers until now—unless they had expensive high-speed cameras and equipment.

This monitor also comes with a ROG Desk Mount Kit so you can save on desk space. It comes with a C-clamp up to 80mm wide, so it's compatible with most desks.

If you need a bigger display, there's the ROG Swift PG329Q. The 32-inch 175Hz gaming monitor also offers Fast IPS panel tech and comes with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution. ASUS ROG claims it's the world's first NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible gaming monitor with variable overdrive with superfast 1ms GTG response time.

Better colour fidelity is provided thanks to quantum-dot technology with factory colour pre-calibration, displayhdr 600 certification, DCI-P3 98% and srgb 160% support. To eliminate motion blur without sacrificing variable refresh rates, ASUS ROG equips this display with Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync technology.

The ROG Swift 360 Hz PG259QN and PG259QNR monitors will be available starting from September 2020 and November 2020, respectively, in North America. At the same time, the ROG Swift PG329Q monitor will be available beginning in October 2020.
