Microsoft Xbox Series X, Series S will be available globally starting Nov. 10

Microsoft is all set to launch its next-generation consoles. The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will be available worldwide starting November 10, with pre-orders beginning on September 22. The flagship Xbox Series X is priced at $599.99, while the all-digital Xbox Series S comes in at $379.99.

While the Xbox Series X is positioned as Microsoft's most powerful console to date, the Xbox Series S promises "faster load times, higher frame rates, and richer, more dynamic worlds" in its "smallest, sleekest Xbox ever" at a price that's more wallet-friendly.

The Xbox Series S is designed using the same technology as the Xbox Series X to get a similar experience. Powered by the Xbox Velocity Architecture, you're promised faster load times and Quick Resume. It supports the same next-gen features like HDMI 2.1, frame rates of up to 120 frames per second, DirectX Raytracing, and Variable Rate Shading.

It will also support Spatial Sound, including Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, via streaming apps like Disney+, Netflix, and Vudu. Dolby Vision will be available on the consoles in 2021.

The new consoles come with new games optimized for them. From day one, Microsoft promises access to next-gen versions of titles like Gear Tactics, Tetris Effect: Connected, and Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs: Legion.

With the launch of these new consoles, Microsoft is also expanding Xbox All Access to more countries, and Xbox Game Pass gets support for EA Play.
