Issues with stats surface as the New York Times takes over Wordle

If you're playing the trendy online puzzle game Wordle, you might have noticed that the game is being redirected to a new link. The New York Times is now running the game after its creator sold it a few weeks back. It's now live at this URL: https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html. But there seems to be an issue with players' statistics, at least for some users. Some are finding their streaks, win percentages, and guess distribution getting messed up.

In my case, it seems to have transferred seamlessly. Of course, you have to make sure you're opening the game in the same browser and device you typically do because your stats are saved locally. The Verge suggests opening the game through the old link (http://www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/) if you're having this issue. That seemed to have worked. I've also been able to play it in the original URL on another device.

NYT hasn't really messed with the game beyond this issue. But the sans serif title is replaced with NYT's signature font style, and there's a new menu in the left corner that links to other games from the publication. Now, all help and Twitter links go to Times-owned accounts instead of the game's creator, Josh Wardle.
