'GTA Online' gets a monthly subscription for more perks

Source: Rockstar

With GTA Online's launch, Rockstar is offering its biggest fans a chance to get more perks in the game. The developer is launching a US$6 monthly GTA+ subscription to provide players on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S with regular bonuses. There will be things like $500,000 in virtual cash each month, unlock past game unlocks, vehicle upgrades, member-only discounts, and more. You can also spend extra for better Shark Cards to get more in-game cash.

The first month will give you a supercar with an early-access upgrade, three wardrobe items, waived LS Car Meet Membership fees, and more. You will need to claim the benefits before they expire. Rockstar says its regular events will carry on "as normal" for everyone, so you can access crucial content even if you play for free. But we can't say yet if you'll be left at a disadvantage if you don't opt into this subscription offer.
