Samsung Galaxy S23 rumoured to get new 200MP camera

Samsung has reportedly completed work on its new 200-megapixel sensor for its 2023 flagships, which could be the Samsung Galaxy S23. The company is reportedly in the process of picking suppliers for its production. Samsung's component division, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, will reportedly get 70% of the orders for this new ISOCELL sensor, while other partners will fulfill 30% of the orders. With the final design complete, Samsung reportedly wants to ramp up production for ISOCELL HP3 to have them ready for next year's flagships (a.k.a. the S23).

As SamMobile noted, though, this won't be the same sensor as the ISOCELL HP1, also a 200-megapixel camera. The HP3 is reportedly an upgraded version, but it isn't clear what improvements were made. The HP1 can already do things like record 8K and 4K and offer features like advanced HDR and Double Super Phase Detection autofocus.
